TDI Review

Brigette McHale, better known as Acquired Style, is punching well above her weight. Having emerged as one of fashion’s breakout creators, she is already generating the kind of commercial attention more commonly associated with names that have been in the game far longer, firmly earning her place in the Highly Rated tier.

In November 2025, McHale and her twin sister Danielle Pheloung launched Phe Phe. A year later, the brand has expanded into bridal, workwear and activewear, while its hair roller set, based on the tutorials McHale built much of her following around, has become a bestseller. In October, the sisters took Phe Phe offline for the first time, opening its first pop-up in New York and launching its latest collections alongside a further move into beauty.

Her partnerships have proved equally capable of cutting through. In April, Swan Beauty, a newly launched beauty-tech company behind an AI-powered mirror, sponsored McHale’s bachelorette trip to St Barts to considerable fanfare. The branded private jet and luxury villa turned the celebration into a highly visible campaign, prompting criticism over its extravagance while sending Swan Beauty across social media. McHale carried that momentum into her wedding, partnering with L’Oréal Paris around the occasion.

That combination of business instinct and an ability to make partnerships impossible to ignore has made McHale one of the fastest-rising commercial names in this year’s Index. Acquired Style is worth paying attention to.

Swan Beauty sponsored Brigette Pheloung’s luxury bachelorette trip to St Barts, turning the entire weekend into a social media campaign. The trip featured a branded private jet, luxury villa stay and coordinated creator content designed to promote Swan’s AI-powered beauty mirror. The campaign quickly went viral across TikTok, Instagram and Reddit, with viewers split between calling it brilliant marketing and criticising it as excessive and “out of touch.”
