TDI Review
Drew Desbordes, better known as Druski, has built one of the most distinctive comedy brands to emerge from social media. In 2026, he pushed it further into television while making increasingly ambitious moves on the business side, firmly earning his place in the Highly Rated tier.
On the TV front, Desbordes joined The Voice as a commentator in February, before becoming the youngest host in BET Awards history in June. He reached two further career milestones in November, hosting Saturday Night Live and signing a multi-year Netflix deal through his company, 4LIFERS Entertainment, covering original programming and the licensing of existing shows.
His business moves have become more significant too. In October, Desbordes took an equity stake in Gopuff as part of a multi-year partnership that will see the pair develop products and fan experiences together. The deal also brings his own businesses, 4LIFERS Entertainment and satirical record label Coulda Been Records, into the relationship.
That approach to ownership is deliberate. Speaking on The Diary of a CEO in September, Desbordes recalled deciding to put the money he was making back into producing his own shows after years of rejection from companies including Netflix and Amazon.
“If I’m getting money from these companies and they’re paying me, instead of going and buying a car or another house, maybe nice jewelry and all this stuff, I’m going to invest in myself,” he said.
Desbordes said that investment had prompted companies that once rejected his ideas to pursue the shows he funded himself, creating what he described as a “bidding war”. His ability to build an audience, finance his own productions and negotiate increasingly substantial commercial deals has made him a formidable player in creator-led entertainment.
Representation: Desbordes is represented by WME.
