Board-certified dermatologist Dustin Portela has built a sizeable online audience by cutting through skincare trends and misinformation with straightforward advice grounded in his medical expertise.

That approach has translated into significant reach. Portela generated more than 345 million YouTube video views in the performance data analysed by Traackr for the Index, making him a standout performer in his field.

His work online has also led to partnerships with skincare brands including CeraVe, EltaMD and Eucerin, while Portela is beginning to develop businesses around the expertise behind his content.

In April 2026, he announced plans for a telehealth offering through Future Clinic, initially covering Idaho, Utah and New York. In October, he launched Med Creator 101, a course designed to help other medical professionals build their own presence as creators.
