Comedian Gage Briney has found a winning formula in wine, turning unlikely Sauvignon Blanc combinations into a recurring comedy bit.

A former bartender, Briney has experimented with combinations including frozen mango and frozen apples, oranges and cinnamon sticks. The latter became one of his biggest hits in 2026, reaching millions of viewers across TikTok and Instagram.

Briney generated almost 1.4 million engagements from 44 posts in the Adult Beverage data analysed by Traackr for the Index, with an engagement rate of 11.89%.

In June 2026, Blackout Besties, the podcast Briney co-hosts, returned for a new season. He has also launched merchandise around his growing online following.

Briney’s ability to make drinking culture a recognisable part of his comedy and build an unusually engaged audience around it earns him a place in the Rated tier.
