Alix Earle’s new reality show broke into Netflix’s global Top 10 after just three days on the platform, offering an early indication of how the TikTok star’s audience is translating to traditional entertainment.
Earle Meets World ranked tenth among English-language shows globally for the week ending September 6, attracting 1.8 million views and 9 million hours watched. The eight-part series launched on September 4.
The show follows Earle alongside her sister Ashtin, family and friends, giving audiences a closer look at her life beyond the social media content that propelled her to fame.
Netflix first announced the series in January as part of a growing slate of creator-led programming, propelling a strategy that has also seen it bring a number of successful YouTube shows onto its platform.
That strategy also appears to be delivering audiences, with two other creator-led shows ranking in the global Top 10 that week.
Danny Go! Season 2 ranked seventh with 2.6 million views, while Salish & Jordan Matter Season 3 came in eighth with the same number of views. Both were in the global Top 10 for a second consecutive week.
The performances come less than two weeks after Alex Cooper’s Love Overboard was cancelled by Hulu after one season, having failed to draw the same attention as some of the streamer’s other unscripted originals.
