Beehiiv rolls out podcast advertising for creators of all sizes

Victoria Ibitoye | Oct 27, 2026

Beehiiv is adding advertising to its podcast platform for the first time, allowing creators to earn from programmatic ads without meeting a minimum download threshold.

The launch comes just over six months after the newsletter platform moved into podcast hosting, and gives creators the option to sell sponsorships themselves or make unsold ad space available to advertisers automatically.

Ads can be inserted into new and previously published episodes without creators having to edit or re-upload the original audio. That means older episodes can continue generating advertising revenue as new listeners discover them.

“Podcast advertising has traditionally been out of reach for smaller creators, and we're changing that,” Beehiiv co-founder and chief executive Tyler Denk said.

“Whether you have an audience of a few hundred or a few million, you should have the opportunity to earn money from the audience you've built.”

Beehiiv says thousands of shows have moved onto the platform since it introduced native podcast hosting in April. Its podcast advertising measurement is certified against IAB industry standards, while creators can see how many ads were delivered and how much they earned from programmatic campaigns.

The company is also planning to add video hosting and distribution for podcasts before the end of the year, with video monetisation expected in 2027.

Podcast advertising extends Beehiiv’s existing advertising business beyond newsletters. Its ad network is currently paying publishers more than $1 million a month, with more than 13,000 publications having earned through it.

The expansion follows a wider push by Beehiiv to bring more of the infrastructure creators use to run their businesses onto one platform. In July, it launched a community product alongside new advertising and AI tools, with Denk telling The Daily Influence at the time that the goal was to let creators run their “entire content business” without relying on multiple platforms.

The Daily Influence’s newsletter is hosted on Beehiiv.
