Influencer agency Billion Dollar Boy is moving to address one of the creator economy’s most persistent operational challenges – delayed payments – with a new product built into its Companion ecosystem.

The company has launched Creator Payments, a system designed to automate creator onboarding and payments for brands. Developed in partnership with fintech platform Lumanu, the tool aims to replace the manual processes that continue to slow down creator payouts and complicate campaign execution.

According to the company, Creator Payments can handle up to 14 administrative tasks per creator, including invoicing, tax documentation and onboarding, while giving brands real-time visibility through a centralised dashboard.

Alongside the core product, Companion is introducing Early Pay, a feature allowing creators to access earnings immediately upon completion of deliverables, rather than waiting for standard payment cycles that can extend to 30, 60 or 90 days.

The move is positioned as a response to growing financial pressure among creators. In a survey of more than 1,000 creators in the UK and US, Billion Dollar Boy found that over half reported burnout, with financial instability cited as the leading cause.

Early adoption, however, remains limited. During a four-month trial, 7% of creators opted into Early Pay, suggesting that while demand for faster payments is clear, behaviour may take time to shift.
