Talent agency Buchwald is expanding further into the creator economy with the launch of a dedicated creator division.
The new unit, Buchwald Creators, will be led by Max Nagler, the company's vice president of branding and creators, and marks the latest sign of traditional entertainment firms increasing their investment in digital talent.
As part of the launch, Buchwald has hired Mia Conte and Michael Del Moral as agents focused on creator partnerships and digital representation. Conte joins from Bad Moon Talent after previously working in partnerships at Twitch, while Del Moral joins from Clear Talent Group, where he worked on creator-led campaigns for brands including Verizon, Gap and Bacardi.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Michael and Mia to Buchwald Creators," Nagler told Deadline. "As we expand Buchwald Creators, we will continue to do so by offering focused and bespoke representation for artists looking to reach the next level of their careers."
Buchwald's current creator roster includes digital creators Jack Wright, Sophie Telegadis and Lola Star Visage, alongside podcasters, comedians and medical creators including Jen Hamilton and Chris Van Vliet.
The move reflects a broader shift as talent agencies build dedicated creator divisions to keep pace with the growth of influencer and digital entertainment. As previously reported by The Daily Influence, United Agents launched a similar unscripted division focused on creators and influencers in April. Creative Artists Agency was also rumoured to be eyeing a UK creator-division expansion in December.
