Content creator and presenter Jolie Sharpe will co-host “Up To Speed”, a new Formula 1 podcast launching later this month from Global.

Sharpe will join F1 journalist Will Buxton, broadcaster and former racing driver Naomi Schiff and former world champion David Coulthard on the twice-weekly show, which debuts on 16 February.

The launch comes as broadcasters increasingly use creators alongside traditional sports coverage, as seen in recent initiatives from ESPN and NBCUniversal.

The podcast will be released on Global Player, YouTube and major podcast platforms. Monday episodes will focus on race reaction and analysis, while Thursday editions will centre on interviews and wider storylines from across the sport.

“Formula 1 has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and this podcast is a chance to turn that into something fans can really be part of,” Sharpe said in a statement. “I want people to come away with a deeper connection to the sport, from the conversations you don’t hear elsewhere to the atmosphere and moments that make race weekends so special.”

“Sharing that experience with fans each week is what I’m most excited about,” she added.

Sharpe’s appointment continues her fast rise across sports media. She has presented Formula 1 coverage for Sky Sports, collaborated with brands including Adidas, Amazon and Estée Lauder, and last year signed with Creative Artists Agency’s sports media division. She is also the founder of social and content agency JGS Live.

“Up To Speed” will be produced by Global Studios, the company’s podcast division, which also houses creator-led shows including “The Fellas” and “The Overlap”.
