Meta offers guaranteed pay in latest move to lure creators from rival platforms

Victoria Ibitoye | Mar 19, 2026

Meta is offering guaranteed payments and increased reach to attract creators from rival platforms, in its clearest move yet to compete more directly for talent in the creator economy.

The company has launched Creator Fast Track, a programme designed to help creators with existing audiences on platforms like TikTok and YouTube grow on Facebook.

Under the scheme, eligible creators can earn between $1,000 and $3,000 per month for three months, alongside increased distribution for their content and immediate access to Facebook’s monetisation tools.

Unlike traditional monetisation programmes, eligibility is based in part on a creator’s following on other platforms, marking a direct attempt to attract established creators.

Creators accepted into the programme will also be able to continue earning through Facebook’s monetisation products after the initial payment period ends.

The launch follows a series of updates aimed at strengthening Facebook’s creator ecosystem. As previously reported by The Daily Influence, the company recently said it would prioritise original content across Feed and Reels, while reducing the reach of reposted or lightly edited videos.

Meta said it paid nearly $3 billion to creators in 2025, up 35% year on year, as it expands monetisation across formats including Reels, Stories, photos and text posts.

The company is also introducing new performance metrics, including qualified views and earnings per 1,000 views, as it places greater emphasis on engagement and watch time in determining payouts.

The move reflects a broader pattern across platforms, with Instagram, X and YouTube all expanding creator monetisation tools in recent months as competition for established talent intensifies.
