Netflix is expanding its creator-led content slate through a new partnership with Sean Evans' interview series Hot Ones.

The streaming giant has ordered a spinoff dubbed Hot Ones: Extra Heat, a series of 30-minute specials that will see Evans take the show on the road, interviewing guests at major Netflix events while they work their way through increasingly spicy wings.

The first episode will premiere on July 13 and feature Will Ferrell, Fortune Feimster and Jimmy Tatro, stars of Netflix's upcoming golf comedy The Hawk, following Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby. Additional specials will be announced at a later date.

"As a student of the late-night genre, I'm obsessed with the art of the interview, and believe that these conversations warrant a level of scale and spectacle that sometimes can't be contained by a studio," Evans said in a statement.

"It's exciting to partner with Netflix to continue to break new ground with the format while keeping the core of what fans love about Hot Ones firmly intact."

Launched in 2015, Hot Ones has produced around 400 episodes featuring guests including Matt Damon, Kristen Bell, Kevin Hart and Shaquille O'Neal. The original YouTube series will continue to release new episodes.

The partnership adds to Netflix's growing slate of creator-led programming. Earlier this year, the streamer commissioned projects from creators including Alix Earle and Alan Chikin Chow, while Jay Shetty last month announced a deal that will bring video episodes of his podcast On Purpose to Netflix under a partnership with Spotify.
