Mastercard backs new business debit card for creators

Mastercard has partnered with banking platform Manifest Financial to launch a business debit card for creators.
The Manifest Business Debit Mastercard lets creators get paid faster, including through instant payouts, and accept payments from customers and brands directly through the card. It's issued by MVB Bank under licence from Mastercard, and comes with tools for invoicing and tax management. The card is available now through Manifest's platform.
"Creators are building some of today's most dynamic small businesses," said Ginger Siegel, North America Small and Medium Business Lead at Mastercard. "They're managing customers, cash flow, taxes, global audiences and multiple income streams, often without tools designed for how they work. Together with Manifest, we're helping creators access the trusted payments, security and infrastructure they need to grow sustainable businesses in the digital economy."
Manifest is a banking platform built specifically for creators. The company launched publicly in April 2025 and has since expanded to support creators across music, content, NIL (name, image and likeness deals for college athletes) and talent representation.
"Creators are the next founders," said Michael Cavallaro, co-founder and chief executive of Manifest Financial. "They are building brands, running businesses and driving real economic activity."
Goldman Sachs estimates the creator economy could approach $480 billion by 2027, while Adobe research puts the number of creators worldwide at more than 300 million.
The launch follows Visa's partnership with TikTok, which introduced a creator debit card in April, letting UK creators access earnings more quickly. Visa said the card was designed to tackle cash flow challenges: research found nearly half of UK creators had experienced late or inconsistent payments that affected their business, while 41% had turned down work as a result.
It also builds on Mastercard's wider push to support small businesses. The company said it has connected more than 65 million small businesses to digital tools over the past decade and aims to connect and protect 500 million people and small businesses on their path to financial health by 2030.
