Netflix expands YouTube strategy with Drew Binsky deal

Hannah Oladele | Sep 8, 2026

Netflix is bringing Drew Binsky's travel documentaries to its platform, the latest in a run of deals between the streamer and YouTube creators.

From September 19, episodes of Binsky's series will be available on Netflix.

Announcing the deal on his YouTube channel, Binsky said the series will see him "crossing deserts, jungles, and war zones, sharing meals with strangers, celebrating weddings, exploring forgotten places and meeting the most hospitable people in the faraway corners of our planet."

"I've always believed that the best way to understand the world isn't by looking at maps. It is by breaking bread with the people who call these places home. So pack your bags and let's explore the world together," he said.

Binsky has more than 7.3 million YouTube subscribers and has travelled to all 197 countries, making over 1,200 documentaries since 2012.

He joins the growing list of YouTube creators tapped by the streaming giant including Jay Shetty's On Purpose, Sean Evans' Hot Ones: Extra Heat, Alan Chikin Chow and Nick DiGiovanni.
